Stone Foundation - A Life Unlimited

Midlands rock ‘n’ soul collective Stone Foundation release their latest album A Life Unlimited today on CD & vinyl, the ten track recording of contemporary British soul galvanises the bands influences and cuts a groove from the drop of the needle to the run out groove. The seven-piece outfit deploy a full soul-sound armoury and line-up with Neil Jones (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Neil Sheasby (bass), Phillip K. Ford (drums), Ian Arnold (Hammond, Wurlitzer, piano), Gareth John (trumpet), Spencer Hague (trombone), Gary Rollins (tenor sax, flute) and Rob Newton (Congas,percussion), the album also features guest performances from The Four Perfections, Nolan Porter, Dr. Robert and Graham Parker.

As featured on Beat Surrender last month one of the tracks featured on the album is the title music of the awarding winning short film Beverley.

Beverley – Stone Foundation

Smooth summer soul from the Stone Foundation, lifted from their forthcoming album‘A Life Unlimited’ which is out the 9th of August.

This track was the title music in the award winning film (best film at the Portobello Film Awards & East End Film Festival) written by Cass Pennant & Alexandra Thomas and starring Vicky McClure (This is England) and Laya Lewis (Skins) who feature in the accompanying video which follows a gritty punk romance bringing out the deeper yearning in this bright and solidly engaging track.
