One of these years I will get the opportunity to travel to Austin for SXSW, for now I’ll have to console myself and get by with the reports, video and music that will be all over the web during the festival. The official SXSW music section has links to a whole load of sample download tracks, the selection in the link below are all tagged “alt-country”, I’ve selected a top twenty some you’ll know and others maybe not, but all worth a listen I feel, stand out track for me is the Hey Negrita tunes, really looking forward to their acoustic release……
