Pete Molinari "Authentic Country Blues"

Pete Molinari has a new album out of the 7th June A Train Bound for Glory hopefully he’ll pick up some thoroughly deserved wider recognition and sales from his recent TV début on Later – the new album follows on from his excellent 7 Track CD / 4 track 10″ Vinyl EP, Today Tomorrow and Forever plugged on the blog last year, just prior to it’s release Pete was in session with Bob Harris, talking country, Kerouac, Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, Little Richard and recording in Nashville with the legendary Jordanaires who appeared on two tracks.

Charlie Robison – BBC Session “Beautiful Day”

Bob Harris recorded a short session with Charlie Robison earlier this year during the Americana awards in Nashville, the session aired on the 5th November – I was otherwise engaged that evening getting soaked to the skin whilst simultaneously enjoying hot dogs and beer – I caught up with the show on iPlayer after I’d dried out and was very pleased I did.

Robison performed two live session tracks and had a chat with Bob about the album, the divorce and Austin versus San Antoine, his album Beautiful Day has being one of the muscial highlights for me this year and he performed two acoustic tracks from the record during the session Down Again and the title track, before the session closed with one of my favourite tracks from the Beautiful Day album Feeling Good.For any overseas readers who may not have come across Bob Harris before, the . . . → Read More: Charlie Robison – BBC Session “Beautiful Day”
