Vanessa Peters – The Christmas We Hoped For

The Christmas We Hoped for

Vanessa Peters has had another busy year touring, planning, writing and recording but managed in the middle of year amidst outside temperatures of a 100+ to put together her first festive record The Christmas We Hoped For, the title track a Peter’s original takes pride of place on the recording that includes some takes on traditional tunes, ‘classics’ and the contemporary in the form of The Weepies All That I Want, so you get the best of all worlds wedded one recording, something old, something new, something borrowed and something country-blues.

If if like myself you have penchant for a festive tune or two then I’d highly recommend you get your hands on the album that offers a perfect accompaniment to the time-of-year, so kick back with glass of mulled wine and a mince pie (or Panettone and Bombardino if your prefer) and enjoy ride

Vanessa’s next album is already underway and was partly fan funded through Kickstarter with a small contribution from yours truly, the album will be co-produced by Rip Rowan (Old 97s), set for release in early 2012 there are plans to tour both the US and Europe in support of the release, stay tuned for news on the albums and gigs.
