Have had a handful of EP’s and albums fall into my lap lately that fall somewhere on the periphery of my usual consumption, but each has a certain charm, the trio of favourites – one label supplied, one friend recommended and one stumbled upon have the common theme of a female vocal, if you’re after rock n roll check back at a later date, today we are in folk pop mode.
I love South West Wales it’s one of my favourite parts of the UK with it’s wonderful countryside and breath-taking coastline so it’s there I’ll start with an album released in the UK earlier this year and available Stateside via OK Good Records The Day We Ran Into The Sea is the debut full length from pop duo Paper Aeroplanes Richard Llewellyn and Sarah Howells who together prove that pop music exists outside of the mainstream.
