Paul Weller – Waking up the Nation – In Concert 15th April 2010

Couldn’t let today go by without posting something about Weller’s new album, what better than the bootleg of the Radio 2 In Concert performance at the BBC Radio Theatre last Thursday where several tracks from the new album are featured in-between a selection of Jam, Style Council and solo tunes – wonderful stuff.

Highlights for me the duets, Lauren Pritchard on the Holland–Dozier–Holland classic How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) and Rox on You Do Something For Me. Richard Hawley guested too playing guitar on two tracks.

  1. I thought the actual broadcast was slightly dissapointing due to the footage that became available, with Moonshine being played on the night but not physically played on Radio 2!!! Rubbish!

Saying that, thanks for the upload, shout to the top is brill!

  2. Thanx a lot! Didn't find the way to dl (So dummy sometimes!) but the cover is great! I Remeber you Simon, we tlaked a bit didn't we?
